<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent headlamp for a vehicle which can prevent occurrence of glare to an oncoming vehicle and does not cause a feeling of physical disorder in visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp unit 35 is provided with a first shade 41 which is arranged between a projection lens 18 and a light source 12a so that the upper end edge 41a may be located at the vicinity of the rear side focus F2 and forms a cut-off line of a light distribution pattern for low-beam irradiation and a second shade 43 which is arranged between the first shade 41 and a reflector 34 and of which upper end edge 43a is located at the vicinity of an optical axis Ax and cuts off a part of reflection light of the reflector 34, thereby forms a dark part with an illuminance lower than the surrounding at a corresponding location in the light distribution pattern for low-beam irradiation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
