PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sickle lock without being locked, even if a sliding door is forcibly closed. SOLUTION: This sickle lock has a dead bolt 3 movably guided in the longitudinal direction vertical to a front plate 2 in a lock box 1 and forming a driven cutout 6 in a rear end part, a dead cam 8 having an operation arm 7 engaging with the driven cutout 6 and linked with an inner cylinder and/or a thumb-turn of a cylinder lock, and a sickle 5 link4ed with the dead bolt 3, shaken outside by interlocking with its advance and locked on an opening edge inner surface of a strike hole. A change spring 23 for switching the 3energizing direction between a locking angle position of the operation end and an unlocking angle position, is elastically installed between the operation end 19 for elastically installing a spring member 17 for energizing the dead bolt backward in the lock box and formed in a symmetrical angle position with the operation arm on its rotational center in the dead cam and a spring hooking column 22 implanted in a side plate of the lock box.
