PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative reinforcing fitting which makes a buffer action properly exerted because it is connected by a pin passing through the buffer material and because the buffer material is arranged for buffering in a connecting portion, and which can be easily assembled and mounted, because the through-pin serves as a protrusion/receding adjusting pin, a fixing pin for the buffer material, and a pin subject to the buffer action. SOLUTION: This reinforcing fitting connects a foundation 1 and a vertical member 3 such as a column, which is erected on a sill 2 on the concrete foundation 1. Characteristically, the reinforcing fitting comprises a foundation mounting plate portion 4, and a wood mounting plate portion 5; a buffer-material holding portion 7 for holding the buffer material 6 is provided in the lower part of the plate portion 5; slots, which allow the vertical relative displacement of the through-pin 9 passing through the buffer material 6, are provided in both the right and left side piece parts 19 of the holding portion 7, respectively; and a connecting portion 11 for connecting the holding portion 7 in a protrusion/receding-adjustable manner by means of the through-pin 9 is provided in the plate portion 4.
