PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition or medicinal composition including a modified polyorganosiloxane. SOLUTION: This linear organopolysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer expressed by formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a 6-22C linear or branched saturated alkyl or a 6-22C linear or branched mono- or polyunsaturated alkenyl group; (m), (p) are each 4 to 50 number; and (n) is 3 to 90 number] is described. The above copolymer can be used as the cosmetic or medicinal composition. Further the composition is suitable as an emulsion for the cleaning and caring of hairs and skin, preferably as an emulsifying agent in O/W or W/O emulsion and as a conditioner.
