PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency warning device enabling a user to quickly confirm a failure of a display part in accordance with the degree of the failure. SOLUTION: A controller 9 is provided with two different types of signals 31 and 32 to be transmitted to a control circuit of a display part 2 of a large warning indicator 1 in predetermined intervals, the control circuit is provided with a relay that relays a make 33a or a breaks 33b by the inputs of the two types of signals 31 and 32, and the controller 9 is provided with abnormality detecting devices 9a, 9b, 9c and 9d for detecting the transmission of the two types of signals and the make 33a or break 33b of the relay to detect abnormality of the control circuit.
