PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit, a control method and a control program for simplifying software setting processing in case of failed validation. SOLUTION: When software has been updated, the control unit includes an update control section 32 for deciding whether or not the software after the update is to be selected, based on an operation result of actually operating each configuration portion of a measurement mechanism 2 and a control mechanism 3 using the updated software. When the operation result does not satisfy a predetermined tolerance range, the update control section 32 restores the software for use to the software before the update. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
