A method for controlling a compressor is provided to control an air conditioner based on the variation of the pressure of a cooling agent and a temperature control deviation according to the evaporator temperature, thereby obtaining a fast response speed for the variation of the evaporator temperature. A target evaporator temperature is selected when an air conditioner is operated. An evaporator temperature control deviation, that is a difference between a target evaporator temperature and a real evaporator temperature, is calculated. A proportion gain is calculated according to the evaporator temperature control deviation. The pressure of a cooling agent of the compressor is detected so that a proportion gain is calculated according to the pressure of the cooling agent. A first integral gain is calculated according to the evaporator temperature control deviation. A second integral gain is calculated according to the history for rising and falling of the pressure of the cooling agent. A new ECV(electronic control valve) control duty is calculated by using the calculated values. The evaporator temperature control deviation is calculated after an ECV is controlled according to the ECV control duty, and then an evaporator discharging temperature is measured.
