SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING FUEL EFFICIENCY USING TORQUE CONVERTER FOR AUTOMOBILE

A system and a method for improving fuel efficiency by using a torque converter for an automobile are provided to reduce torque, vibration, and noise by suppressing an increase of RPM(Revolutions Per Minute) of an engine. A torque converter(10) for an automobile is mounted on an automatic transmission. The torque converter includes an electronic oil pump which is connected to an oil pump controller and an oil reserve tank. The torque converter receives power of an engine in a starting state of a vehicle. The torque converter includes a damping unit(20) is installed on a concentric circle at an outside of a torque converter cover in order to suppress slip loss through repulsive force from a slip point in the starting state of the vehicle. The damping unit includes a first compression spring(21) for performing a damping operation at a starting point of the vehicle and a second compression spring(22) having a starting point at an ending point of a damping section of the first compression spring.
