PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure of a molding die for molding a housing, and realize a smaller size of the same. SOLUTION: With the female housing 10 inwardly fitted into a hood part 61, a retainer 80 inserted into and held by a first engagement hole 66 of the hood part 61 is pushed into a side of the female housing 10. The retainer 80 progresses into a second engagement hole 18 of the female housing side 10, and at the same time, locks a terminal fitting 30 regularly inserted into a cavity 11 in an anti-fall-off state. The retainer 80 is usually held by a hood part 61 side, and the female housing 10 does not hold the retainer 80 by itself, so that the retainer 80 has no fear of protruding out from an outside face of the female housing 10, nor there is any need of providing a molding structure corresponding to the retainer 80 at the female housing side 10.
