PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling toy traveling at a high speed when starting, rectilinearly traveling keeping the high speed and having an elaborate taste. SOLUTION: This traveling toy is provided with a front wheel 2, a rear wheel 3, and a body frame 4 connecting the front wheel 2 to the rear wheel 3; the front wheel 2 and the rear wheel 3 are constituted as flywheels and disposed in series; the outer rings of the flywheels are stuck with elastic bodies 21, the same sides of the respective flywheels are fixed with pinion gears coaxially with the flywheels; and a single rack belt is approximately horizontally inserted from the side of the front wheel 2 to the upper sides of the pinion gears so as to be threadedly engaged with the pinion gears of the both front/rear wheels.
