<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting unit that dispenses with a bond wire and a bonding process and uses a light-emitting diode as a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting unit comprises: the light-emitting diode; a pair of bias electrodes for applying a bias voltage to the light-emitting diode; a pair of electrode holders for holding the pair of bias electrodes; a pair of leads connected to the pair of electrode holders; and an enclosing member that covers the light-emitting diode, the pair of bias electrodes, and the periphery of the pair of electrode holders and encloses them for fixing. In this case, the pair of bias electrodes and the electrode holder are provided at both sides of the light-emitting diode, and the light-emitting diodes are provided while being sandwiched between the pair of bias electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
