FILTER MATERIAL FOR PROTEIN REMOVAL, METHOD OF REMOVING PROTEIN, AND SLAG LOWERING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material for protein removal which can quickly remove a protein in a liquid to be treated without fouling quality of the liquid.

SOLUTION: The filter material consists of a porous body which is obtained by adding a strong acid to a kaoline mineral and carrying out hydrothermal treatment and calcination treatment. The liquid to be treated is made to contact with the filter material. Therefore, the protein in the liquid can be caught by the filter material to be adsorbed and removed. At that time, treatment such as heating is unnecessary. Further, the filter material can be easily regenerated to be repeatedly used even if its performance is lowered.
