PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-core bidirectional communication waveguide array in which a narrow pitch multi-core optical fiber array can be made bidirectional, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same and a bidirectional communication module.

SOLUTION: The multi-core bidirectional communication waveguide array 10 which is arrayed in at least three units in parallel on one plane includes a Y branch shaped waveguide core 12, a wavelength selective filter 15 arranged crossing the branch part of the waveguide core 12, and a plurality of mirrors 13 which are formed in every other branch core 12a of the waveguide cores 12. The plurality of mirrors 13 are arranged on the same straight line.
