<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent recording paper from winding around a roller even if the front and back surfaces of the recording paper are reversed by switchback conveyance, and the recording paper is subjected to both side printing. <P>SOLUTION: Upon the printing of the front surface in recording paper, not only a void region B11 at the tip of the front surface of the recording paper, but also a void region B21 at the tail of the front surface is formed, and, upon the subsequent printing of the back face in the recording paper, a void region B22 at the tail of the back face in the recording paper is formed. Thus, upon the fixing of a toner image on the front surface of the recording paper, the void region B11 at the tip of the front surface in the recording paper is floated up from the circumferential face of a roller 35 in a fixing unit 27, and the end parts of the recording paper can be easily peeled by peeling pawls 37. Further, upon the fixing of a toner image in the back face, the void regions B21, 22 at the front surface and the back surface of the recording paper float up from the circumferential faces of the respective rollers 35, 36, and the edge parts of the recording paper can be easily peeled by the peeling pawls 37. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
