<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus devised to easily cool an image holder surface at a low cost while suppressing lowering of productivity in image formation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forms a developed image on the image holder surface by developing an electrostatic latent image held on the surface of the image holder holding the electrostatic latent image on its surface using a developing device containing developer and using the developer contained in the developing device. Then, the developed image is transferred to a recording medium in a transferring region transferring the developed image to the sheet-like recording medium. Next, the transferred image which is transferred to the recording medium is fixed to the recording medium by heating the transferred image and the image composed of the fixed image is formed on the recording medium. A temperature detecting part detecting temperature on the image holder surface and a sheet conveying device feeding a heat absorbing sheet with higher heat absorbing property than heat absorbing property in the recording medium to the transferring region on receiving the detected results in the temperature detecting part are provided to the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
