PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a proper display control for the abnormality of a command signal. SOLUTION: In a game machine provided with a variable display device with which a variable display game is carried out for the variable display of pieces of identifying information, the variable display game for the variable display of the pieces of identifying information is started upon the reception of a variation pattern command signal and after a prescribed time passes, the pieces of identifying information are put to a temporary stoppage. Then, upon the reception of a stop command signal, all pieces of identifying information are stopped: if the variation pattern command signal is judged to be normal by a command signal judgment means, and the stop command signal to be abnormal, all the pieces of identifying information are not stopped being kept under the temporary stoppage.
