PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shock-absorber wherein hydraulic oil for lubrication and hydraulic fluid for damping are separated from each other so as for the hydraulic oil not to mix with the hydraulic fluid. SOLUTION: A piston 44 is incorporated in the inside of an inner tube 10 to form cylinder chambers 46, 48, and to form a lubricating-oil chamber 49 in the outside of the cylinder chambers 46, 48. A sub-tank 64 in communication with the lower oil chamber 46 is placed in the vicinity of the lower part of the inner tube 10. A cylindrical guide-member 84 extending coaxially with a hollow rod 41 is placed on a screw cup 80 covering the upper-end opening of the upper oil-chamber 48. An air chamber 86 is formed between the inside periphery of the cylindrical guide-member 84 and the outside periphery of the hollow rod 41. An oil seal 82 is provided in order to seal the gas in the air chamber 86 and oil for generating attenuation force in the upper oil chamber 48. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
