PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gently release biting of wedge members which are arranged in a coupling device. SOLUTION: A reclining device 4 as a coupling device has an internally-toothed member 10 and an externally-toothed member 20. Since an externally-toothed gear 21 has the number of teeth smaller than an internally-toothed gear 11, the two members are relatively turned by its revolution along the internally-toothed gear 11. A cylinder portion 12 of the internally-toothed member 10 and a through hole 22 of the externally-toothed member 20 are eccentric to each other and wedge members 30A and 30B are arranged in a gap between them. The wedge members 30A and 30B are held in a biting state in the narrow gap by biasing of a spring member 40. The biting of the wedge member 30A is released by pressing and moving by a pressing and moving member 50. The wedge member 30A is pressed and moved together with the wedge member 30B and allows the externally-toothed member 20 to revolve. The wedge member 30A is pressed and moved by the turning of the pressing and moving member 50 in the opposite direction to the biting direction in a state that biasing by the spring member 40 is released.
