<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that can be switched on only when an IC card of a narrow width is inserted, in one for inserting two cards of different widths into the same card insertion hole. <P>SOLUTION: In the IC card connector provided with a housing capable of accepting a wide-width first IC card and a narrow-width second IC card from the same card insertion hole, and contacts for cards to be in and out of contact with electrodes of the first and the second IC cards, a switch is fitted for contacting a movable-side switching terminal with a fixed-side switching terminal by the IC card inserted, and the fixed-side switching terminal is provided with a contact part moving a contact movable piece of the movable-side switching terminal to switch on at the time of insertion of the second IC card, as well as a pressing part for getting in contact with a wide-width side edge part at insertion of the first IC card to relieve it to a position where it cannot contact with the contact movable piece of the movable-side switching terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
