METHOD FOR SUPPORTING PATROL OF TRANSMISSION TOWER, AND PERSONAL DIGITAL ASSISTANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and smoothly patrol transmission towers.

SOLUTION: A personal digital assistant 200 includes a GPS receiving section 213 for receiving radio waves transmitted from a GPS satellite and calculating a current location, and a mode switching processing section 226 for switching the operating mode of the personal digital assistant 200 into either tower mode to display the information of the transmission towers 2 on a display device 218 or patrol route mode to display the information of a patrol route on the display device 218. Locations of transmission towers 2 to be patrolled on the day are stored in a memory 212, and the operating mode is automatically switched into patrol route mode or tower mode by the mode switching processing section 226 comparing the current location calculated in accordance with signals received by the GPS receiving section 213 with the position of each transmission tower 2 stored in the memory 212.
