<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized dust collector capable of collecting fine particles with a small pressure drop of air to be treated. <P>SOLUTION: A prefilter unit 30, a coagulation unit 70, and a collection unit 50 are provided in a casing 20 of an air cleaner 10. The air to be treated with large dust removed therefrom in a prefilter 31 flows into the coagulation unit 70, wherein fine suspended particles in the air to be treated are collected on dust collection electrodes and suspended particles coagulate on the dust collection electrodes to become coagulated particles. The coagulated particles having grown up to a certain size are exfoliated from the dust collection electrodes and scatter into the air to be treated. The coagulated particles in the air to be treated are collected on a dust collection filter 51 in the collection unit 50 disposed in the downstream side of the coagulation unit 70. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
