<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a return current and to reduce noise when boards are connected to each other by mounting connectors at ends of the boards. <P>SOLUTION: Since a ground contact 20 is formed into a plate-like shape, and its cross-sectional area is increased, a path for carrying a return current returning from a connected mating board through a connector is sufficiently secured. Thereby, generation of radiation noise by the return noise can be reduced. When a male connector 10 is mounted at an end of a board 16, signal contacts 18 are arranged nearly in parallel to a board surface of the board 16, and the ground contacts 20 are positioned on the board 16 side relative to the signal contacts 18. Thereby, since ground patterns 38 to which the ground contacts 20 contact are formed at an end of the board 16 relative to signal patterns 30 to which the signal contacts 18 contact, the shapes of the signal patterns 30 are not complicated, whereby noise generated from the signal patterns 30 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
