PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notification method of originator's information and an IP telephony system capable of notifying the originator's information of a transferred telephone to a transferring telephone. SOLUTION: In the IP telephony system for communicating by using an SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), an SIP server 30 adds the telephone number of the transferred telephone 12 to the telephone number of the transferring telephone 10 to transfer the number to a transferring telephone 14 as the originator's information, when executing transfer processing of transferring a telephone call between the transferred telephone 12 and the transferring telephone 10 to the transferring telephone 14.
