PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute in cause investigation at abnormalities by recognizing an operational status in advancing or retreating location of a tray. SOLUTION: This mechanism is equipped with; a tray 2 which can mount a CD or the like; a motor 3; a transmission mechanism 4 to convert rotational motion by this motor 3 into linear motion, and transmit it to the tray 2 for making the tray 2 advance or retreat toward/from a main part chassis 1 by a transmission mechanism 4. It is provided with; a cam plate 6 which is moved to a direction orthogonal to advancing or retreating direction of the tray 2 by carrying out rotary drive of the motor 3; a first switch SW1 and a second switch SW2 which are turned ON or OFF by contacted by the cam plate 6; and a CPU 31 which distinguishes the status is which one, the first status that the tray 2 is contained in the main part chassis 1 and suspended, the second status that the tray 2 moves at low speed, the third status that the tray 2 moves at high speed, or the fourth status that the tray 2 advances from the main part chassis 1 and is suspended based on combination of ON state and OFF state in the first and second switches SW1 and SW2.
