PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a favorable printed material from its first sheet when printing is re-started after the release from a jamming with paper. SOLUTION: This stencil printing apparatus comprises a drum 26, which keeps the surface of an rotatable outer peripheral wall 53 made of an in impermeable member fitted with a stencil paper 18, an ink feeding means 54, which is fed with ink from an ink feeding port 55 provided at an upstream position on printing from the maximum printing area of the outer peripheral wall 53 to the surface of the outer peripheral wall 53, a press roll 35 for thrusting a printing paper against the outer peripheral wall 53, and a cleaning mechanism CL for cleaning the surface of the outer peripheral wall 53 so as to execute the cleaning action by the cleaning mechanism CL under the condition that the stencil paper 18 is wound around the outer peripheral wall 54. The cleaning mechanism CL consists of a blading mechanism 7 and a sucking mechanism 8 for sucking the ink scrapingly collected by the blading mechanism 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
