摘要 <p>[PROBLEMS] A diesel engine in which problems of an injector having grouped injection holes are eliminated by valve timing control with effectiveness of such an injector held, in which exhaust gas is purified, and which has excellent combustion efficiency. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A diesel engine having an injector (1) with multiple intersection points between the axis of the injector (1) and the axes of injection holes (10a) formed in the injector (1). The diesel engine has an ECU (50) for controlling closing timing of an air intake valve (25) based on operation conditions of the engine. The ECU (50) controls the timing so that the air intake valve (25) is closed at timing before BDC (timing at which the piston is at the bottom dead center).</p>
