A double-mass flywheel (1) is adapted to have a torque inputted from the crank shaft (91) of an engine, and comprises a first flywheel (2), a second flywheel (3), coil springs (34, 35, 36), and a second friction generating mechanism (6). The first flywheel (2) is fixed to the crank shaft (91). The second flywheel (3) is formed with a clutch friction surface (3a). The coil springs (34, 35, 36) elastically connect the second flywheel (3) directly to the crank shat (91) in the direction of rotation. The second friction generating mechanism (6) acts in parallel with the springs (34, 35, 36) in the direction of rotation. The second friction generating mechanism (6) is held by the first flywheel (2).
