<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing methanol and dimethyl ether by which the methanol and dimethyl ether can be synthesized at a relatively low temperature under relatively low pressure by a method for liquid-phase synthesis and the one-pass yield is high with a high production amount based on the catalysis weight. <P>SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing the methanol and dimethyl ether comprises the following steps: a catalyst preparation step of mixing a Cu/Zn catalyst with alumina or zeolite in a powdery state and preparing a methanol synthesis catalyst, a reaction liquid preparing step of dispersing the methanol synthesis catalyst in an active solvent and preparing a vapor-phase synthesis reaction liquid, a catalytic reaction step of bringing a synthesis gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide under prescribed pressure at a prescribed temperature into contact with the vapor-phase synthesis reaction liquid and recovering the reaction gas after contact and a separation step of cooling the reaction gas after the contact and separating the methanol and dimethyl ether. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
