DISTORTION COMPENSATION APPARATUS, AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation apparatus capable of compensating nonlinear distortion caused in a process of amplifying a carrier signal subjected to orthogonal modulation and to provide a wireless communication apparatus.

SOLUTION: The distortion compensation apparatus can compensate a nonlinear distortion component produced in a transmission desired wave signal by amplifying the transmission desired wave signal generated on the basis of an analog orthogonal baseband signal. The distortion compensation apparatus includes: a distortion component orthogonal baseband signal generating section for generating a distortion component orthogonal baseband signal corresponding to the nonlinear distortion component on the basis of the analog orthogonal baseband signal; a distortion component composite section for composing the analog orthogonal baseband signal with the distortion component orthogonal baseband signal; and a first switch for controlling whether or not the distortion component orthogonal baseband signal is to be entered to the distortion component composite section.
