<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel printing system which includes an interposer (IP) to integrate the outputs of a plurality of stand-alone printing systems. <P>SOLUTION: A print media interposer system comprises IP modules configured to receive one or more print media input stacks, the IP modules operatively connected to a media path configured to receive print media from the stack, interface (IF) modules operatively connected to the IP modules and a controller operatively connected to the IP modules and the IF modules, configured to control the sequencing of print media sheets from the stacks to the IF modules, to generate a command to transport the stacks produced by the printing systems to predetermined interposer print media stack inputs, wherein the print media interposer system is configured to merge the received stacks in a predetermined sequence and output the merged print media to a post print media handling system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
