<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card connector of which electrodes of a thin card and a thick card can get in contact with contacts inside a housing with a proper bending volume. <P>SOLUTION: In the IC card connector provided with a housing capable of accepting at least two kinds of IC cards of different thicknesses, a cover to be put on after each component is housed, one of the contacts for the card at a bottom side, and the other contact for the card at a top side, a spacer is provided at the housing for free movement, so that, at insertion of one of the IC cards, the spacer is pushed in to pinch and contact with one of the IC cards between the two contacts for the card, and, at insertion of the other IC card, that IC card climbs on the spacer to be contacted and pinched by the spacer and either of the contacts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
