<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component transfer device which can be improved in component transfer efficiency by shortening a cycle time while preventing a breakage of a component holding member, and to provide surface mounting equipment equipped therewith. <P>SOLUTION: The component transfer device comprises an air cylinder 24 which moves a nozzle member capable of holding a component up and down nearly in the vertical direction, an X-axis and a Y-axis servo motor for moving the nozzle member nearly in the horizontal direction, and a controlling means 50 for drive-controlling the air cylinder 24 and each servo motor. The controlling means 50 calculates a time T required for driving the nozzle member, that is, a required time from outputting a drive start signal to the air cylinder 24 to the completion of a descending movement of the nozzle member, based on a non-driving time (t) of the air cylinder 24 which is a passage time from the most recent time of driving the air cylinder 24, and variably sets up a timing of descending the nozzle member according to the time T required for driving the nozzle member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
