<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure determining device of a negative pressure generating device, which suitably determines existence of abnormality of the negative pressure generating device, and determines a cause of the abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 40A for determining a failure of the negative pressure generating device 100 is structured by including: an ejector 30 for generating a negative pressure larger than a negative pressure to be extracted from an intake manifold 14; and a VSV 1 for functioning the ejector 30 and stopping functioning the ejector 30, and is provided with an abnormality existence determining means for determining the existence of the abnormality of the negative pressure generating device 100 based on fluctuation of a speed of rotation Ne of an internal combustion engine 50 depending on a state change of the VSV 1.
