PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor transfer device for articles to be conveyed capable of accurately transferring the articles to a predetermined position on a downstream side conveyor even when the conveyor is operated at high speeds. SOLUTION: This conveyor transfer device comprises a terminal stopper 110 locking a head article W to be conveyed at the terminal part of an upstream side conveyor 8, a transfer means 10 for transferring the head article on a downstream side conveyor 6 by holding the article, and a standby stopper 120 holding the article immediately after the head article for standby. The transfer means comprises a pair of left and right holding arms 132 installed on both sides of the terminal part, a longitudinally operating means 136 for longitudinally reciprocating the holding arms from the terminal part toward the carry-in end of the downstream side conveyor, and an opening/closing means 138 for closing the pair of holding arms during the forward movement and opening it during the backward movement. The terminal stopper is retracted downward when the transfer means holds the head article and projected upward when it is moved forward. The standby stopper holds the subsequent articles while the terminal stopper is retracted. When the terminal stopper is projected upward, it releases the subsequent articles.
