PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform suitable image processing and to perform image processing similar to that of a photographing device. SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 digitally converts an image signal outputted from an image sensor by an A/D converter to generate RAW data, and also generates area information indicating an image area of the face of a person in a photographed image, based upon the RAW data. An image file is generated from the RAW data, the area information, and image processing parameters of image processing used by the digital camera 10 when the area information is not used, and is recorded on a memory card 12. A PC 11 reads the image file from the memory card. The PC 11 performs image processing to optimize the image area of the face of the person, based upon the area information, and image processing wherein the area information is not referred to, as well as the digital camera 10.
