PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a caller who waits for the connection of an estimated waiting time for allowing an operator to respond where a situation is considered in which the operator can respond. SOLUTION: In a telephone device 100 having a private branch exchange (10) connected to line wires (CO1, CO2) and at least one ACD group (201) connected to the private branch exchange (10), the private exchange (10) receives an ACD incoming call transferred to the ACD group (201). When the ACD group (201) has no vacant extension, the private exchange (10) detects the estimated waiting time by the operation input of the operator during call, and notifies an outside telephone (41) of the caller who waits for the call according to the estimated waiting time of how much time the caller should wait until the caller can talk with the operator.
