PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage press forming method by which a camber that the web face of press formed parts is warped in the longitudinal direction is prevented. SOLUTION: In this multistage press forming method for forming a metallic product having a U-shaped or a truncated chevron-shaped cross-sectional shape and the method excellent in shape freezability, an intermediate product (2) provided with one or a plurality of protrusion embossments (21c, 21f) in positions (21a, 21b) equivalent to projecting curved parts in the longitudinal direction of the web face is formed in a first press forming stage and the intermediate product is formed into a product shape while pressing so that the embossments disappear in the second press forming stage.
