<p>A light emitting device is provided with an LED substrate (mounting substrate) (12); a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) (21) mounted on the LED substrate (12); and a reflecting plate (50), which is mounted on the LED substrate (12), has a first surface (52a), and a second surface (52b) having front-rear relationship with the first surface (52a), reflects light emitted from one light emitting diode (LED) (21) of the light emitting diodes (LEDs) (21) by the first surface (52a), and reflects light from the light emitting diode (LED) (21) adjacent to the one light emitting diode (LED) (21) by the second surface (52b). Thus, in a backlight device using a solid-state light emitting element, such as LED, luminance is made uniform by reducing luminance nonuniformity.</p> |
