<p>The screw (1) has a screw head (4) with circular screw head flank (10) and a screw shaft (2) with a thread (5). The screw head has a screw head cross section with different distances in radial direction between the longitudinal axis (3) of the screw shaft and the periphery of the screw head cross section. The screw head is narrowed against the longitudinal axis of the screw shaft in the direction of the screw shaft by inclined positioning of the circular screw head flank and is narrowed continuously in direction of the screw shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for clamping a workpiece using a screw.</p>
