A mixer assembly combines water with a solid or another liquid to form a nano-fluid dispersion. The assembly has a housing with an inner tube (11) with a suction flow generator that sets up a rotary vortex. The housing incorporates a cooling assembly that acts on the nano-fluid dispersion. The inner tube discharges to a spray. The vortex is driven by a rotor (14) round a guide cone (101) and rests on an axial magnetic bearing (14wu). Further claimed is an intensive mixing process in which a solid and a liquid are combined to form a nano-dispersion.
