<p>The at home cancer test permits a layperson to qualitatively test for the presence of carcinoma in the privacy of their home. The test includes a test strip coated or impregnated with at least one monoclonal antibody, together with a chromophore that provides a color indicator when such binding takes place. The at-home cancer test may comprise a kit (10) that includes a test strip (22) with a tab (32) that can be gripped by the user while the strip (22) is placed in a stream of urine. The kit may also include a cup for collecting urine so that the test strip (22) may be partially immersed in the cup. The kit may further include a medicine dropper or pipette (34) for transferring the urine to the absorbent pad (24) of the test strip (22).</p> |
