<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding optical member, to provide an optical filter for a display device including it, and to provide the display device employing the electromagnetic wave shielding optical member. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding optical member includes a base substrate, and a laminated member which is formed on one surface of the base substrate and formed of a plurality of repeating unit films including a metal layer and a high-refractive index layer. Either one metal layer out of outermost metal layers of the laminated member has the thinnest thickness out of the metal layers.
