<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shift of a threshold of an amorphous silicon transistor while driving an organic EL element by a pixel circuit including the amorphous silicon transistor. <P>SOLUTION: A characteristic-adjustment circuit 102, which has a function of returning a threshold shift to the original state, is provided for an amorphous silicon transistor T1 in a pixel circuit 101. The characteristic-adjustment circuit 102 comprises a voltage clamp circuit 103; and during an adjusting period Trf, a transistor T7 in the voltage clamp circuit 103 is switched and the gate of the amorphous silicon transistor T1 is set to a power-supply voltage VRF to effectively perform recovery of the shift in the threshold voltage of the amorphous silicon transistor T1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
