<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose abnormality of a relief valve as being unstable in operation, in a system for controlling a fuel pressure by controlling an amount of fuel supplied from a fuel pump to a fuel injection valve and controlling a relief amount from the relief valve to a fuel tank. <P>SOLUTION: The solenoid relief valve is diagnosed as being in abnormality of being unstable in operation when the state where an actual fuel pressure is not substantially reduced continues for the prescribed time in the state where the solenoid relief valve arranged in a fuel supply passage is controlled to be opened and absolute failure does not occur in a fuel system and energization duty in the fuel pump is not varied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
