<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a humidifier 10 used in humidifying an indoor space by collecting moisture included in the outdoor air by an adsorbent. <P>SOLUTION: The adsorbent is utilized in indoor humidification in a state of being received in an adsorbent receiving space 38 as it is. In adsorbing motion, an opening 41 is set in an opened state, and the adsorbent of the adsorbent receiving space 38 is brought into contact with the outdoor air to allow the adsorbent to adsorb moisture in the outdoor air. In desorbing motion, the adsorbent receiving space 38 is pressurized by a pressure adjusting portion 21 in a state of setting the opening 41 in a closed state. Thus the moisture adsorbed by the adsorbent is desorbed in the adsorbent receiving space 38 of high vapor pressure, and the desorbed moisture passes through a moisture permeable film 13a and is sent to a desorption space 39 of low vapor pressure.
