PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of improving the cycle life and the durability at higher temperatures in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

SOLUTION: This electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a collector, and an active material layer arranged on a surface of the collector and containing an active material and a binder. The electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is characterized in that the binder contains at least one thermosetting resin selected from a group consisting of an epoxy resin, a phenol resin and polyimide in an amount of 50 to 100 mass% relative to the total mass of the binder, and the thickness of the active material layer is 30 to 300 μm inclusive.
