<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system unit that will not have the projector optical system temperature become high, even when the projector and light source optical systems are to be arranged close to each other. <P>SOLUTION: This optical system unit 77 has an illumination block 78, an image forming block 79, and a projection block 80.
