<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route information management method which can eliminate an unnecessary increase of traffic due to the exchange of route information and can make effective use of the route information, in a multi-hop network which includes a plurality of communication terminals as nodes to establish communication between the communication terminals based on the route information of each of these communication terminals. <P>SOLUTION: When the communication terminals are practically not moving, route information between the communication terminals is held for a long period of time to suppress unnecessary exchange of information and thereby to make effective use of limited communication resources. When the communication terminals start moving; an effective time (effective period) of a route to the moving communication terminals is shortened, and the past holding time of the communication route is changed to update the route information. Moreover, by using a route holding time (effective period) according to the moving velocity of the communication terminals, an effective route is selected when communication is required to lessen a reaction time to a request for communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
