IP BROADCAST RECEPTION SYSTEM AND IP BROADCAST RECEIVING TERMINAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology making it possible to suitably view contents and speedily change channels of multichannel IP broadcasting by multicast distribution using a broadband network.

SOLUTION: An IP broadcast reception system includes a home gateway device (106) which is connected to the network (105) and can receive a stream of a plurality of multiplexed contents from the network and an IP broadcast receiving terminal (108) connected to the gateway device. The receiving terminal (108) transmits channel information corresponding to desired contents to the home gateway device. The home gateway device (106) extracts contents corresponding to the channel information from the receiving terminal (108) from the multiplexed contents of the received stream and supplies the contents to the receiving terminal (108).
