PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve defrosting in a heating operation of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: This air conditioning system having a compression unit, an indoor heat exchange unit connected to the compression unit, an expansion unit connected to the indoor heat exchange unit, and an outdoor heat exchange unit arranged in a refrigerant tube between the expansion unit and a suction side of the compression unit includes a bypass tube branched from a delivery side refrigerant tube of the compression unit to connect a delivery side of the expansion unit to the suction side of the compression unit, in the heating operation, and a valve arranged in the bypass tube. Frost deposited on an outdoor heat exchanger is removed while carrying out the heating operation, so as to reduce an electric power consumption. The refrigerant of a temperature higher than that in the heating operation is supplied to the outdoor heat exchanger to prolong a defrosting operation period. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
